The day I met Conner and Jess, I knew there was something so genuine and special about them. What was meant to be an hour long consult ending up becoming three hours! I left our meeting feeling like I had just caught up with old friends. Everything was so organic and I felt so lucky when they decided to book me for their wedding! Conner and Jess booked me almost two years in advanced. She had a feeling her date was going to be a popular one and she was absolutely right. Over the course of the last two years, I have turned down nine brides, yes, NINE who also wanted this date.
Then, 2020 finally arrives and COVID happens. I know so many people who either moved their date, or who canceled their celebration all together. Conner and Jess decided that the show will go on, but that they would have to downsize their wedding. There were many tears during the toasts when everyone reflected and thought about those who were not able to attend because of the chaos the virus had caused.
Though, I feel like if you can get through quarantine together during a global pandemic, then you can basically handle anything else life will throw at you. In their time together, Conner and Jess have tackled a lot, but the key is that they face everything TOGETHER. I can't stress it enough how important that is.
It rained on their wedding day, and things were executed a bit differently with masks, hand sanitizer, and socially distanced seating, and still, I don't think their day could have been more beautiful. Much like everyone else, I sobbed during the father-daughter first look, and I cried as they read their vows. Everything about them and their love is so authentic, kind, and true, and you heard it over and over again as guests spoke about them in pure admiration.
Conner and Jess, I am forever grateful that you chose me to be part of the first day of the rest of your lives. This it where it all begins, my friends, and I hope this journey is full of adventures, growth, and pure love. Sending you both all the happiness in the world! Cheers!
